Before you start
Why track by term instead of just using my cumulative GPA?
A cumulative average hides direction. Three quarters sliding at 0.25 apiece still averages fine right up until it doesn't — and by then the ten courses that decide D1 progression are locked.
When does a grade actually become a problem?
Earlier than most families think. D1 requires ten core courses finished before senior year starts, seven of them in English, math or science, and those grades can't be replaced by a senior-year retake.
