Account & Login 6 questions

How do I create an account?+

Go to playeligible.com/signup — it takes about 30 seconds. Pick your role (athlete, parent, coach/AD, or recruiter), enter your name, email, and a password, then confirm the email we send you.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?+

Use the Forgot password link on the login page. We'll email you a reset link right away — no support ticket needed.

Can I change my name, photo, or profile details?+

Yes — everything lives under Profile & Settings in your dashboard sidebar. Athletes can also update their photo, position, height/weight, and Hudl link straight from the profile banner on the dashboard.

How does a parent link to an athlete?+

The parent creates their own account with the Parent role, then on their dashboard enters the athlete's account email in the Link your athlete box. The link is instant, and the parent immediately sees the same statuses, tests, and assignments the athlete sees.

I'm a parent but can't see my athlete's data.+

Make sure you linked using the exact email on your athlete's PlayEligible account (not their school email, unless that's what they signed up with). If it still doesn't connect, email hello@playeligible.com and we'll sort it same-day.

How do I delete my account?+

It's self-serve — Profile & Settings, then Privacy & data, then Delete my account. That starts a 30-day countdown you can cancel at any point inside the window; when it ends, deletion cascades through every record tied to you. Export your data from the same screen first, because after the 30 days it's gone.

Billing & Payments 6 questions

How does membership billing work?+

Memberships (Athlete, Competitor, Elite) are billed through Stripe — monthly, or annually with two months free. Your card is charged on the same day each cycle from your signup date, and you can cancel anytime with access through the end of the period.

How do I cancel or manage my subscription?+

Open Profile & Settings and choose Manage billing — that takes you to your secure Stripe portal where you can cancel, switch plans, or update your card yourself. No emails, no phone calls.

Can I get a refund?+

One-time tools: full refund within 7 days if you haven't used the tool. Memberships: we refund the current month if you haven't accessed member tools. Live event tickets have their own policy — full refund up to 48 hours before the session. Email hello@playeligible.com and we'll take care of it.

I was charged but don't see my purchase.+

Rarely, a browser session drops right after payment. Forward your Stripe receipt to hello@playeligible.com and we'll attach the purchase to your account within a few hours.

Is my payment information secure?+

Yes. Every payment runs through Stripe — your card number never touches our servers. Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified, the highest level of payment security.

What payment methods do you accept?+

All major credit and debit cards through Stripe, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay on compatible devices.

Practice Tests (SAT · ACT · SSAT · HSPT) 5 questions

How long do I keep access after buying a test?+

Forever. Test access is tied to your account and doesn't expire — retake it or review your answers anytime from the Testing Center.

My browser closed mid-test. Can I resume?+

Yes — your in-progress test saves to your account. Go back to the test and pick up where you left off.

Are these the same as the real exams?+

They're full-length practice tests modeled on the current official formats, instantly scored with section breakdowns. They're built for preparation and progress tracking — official scores still come from the real test administrations.

What's the 6-week study plan?+

Every finished test generates a plan from your actual section scores: your weak areas get focused drills, your strong areas get maintenance work, with in-season and off-season pacing.

Do test scores affect NCAA eligibility?+

No — the NCAA dropped the SAT/ACT requirement for D1/D2 in 2023. Scores still matter for admissions, academic scholarship money, and recruiting leverage, which is exactly how we treat them.

Eligibility & NCAA 4 questions

Is PlayEligible an official NCAA certification?+

No — and nothing besides the NCAA Eligibility Center is. We compute your core-course GPA the way the NCAA does and flag problems years early, then point you to eligibilitycenter.org for the official process.

What GPA does my athlete need?+

Division I full qualifier: 2.30+ core-course GPA. D1 academic redshirt: 2.00–2.29. Division II: 2.20+. Only NCAA-approved core courses count — electives don't. Our tracker and GPA simulator work from these exact lines.

What is the 10-of-16 rule?+

D1 requires 10 of the 16 core courses to be completed before senior year starts — and those grades lock in permanently. It's the most common way athletes lose eligibility, and the reason we push families to start tracking early.

Does PlayEligible work for middle schoolers?+

Yes — the 6th–8th grade track builds the habits and the paper trail before anything counts: grade tracking, SSAT/HSPT prep for school placement, and the early-track eligibility report.

Recruiting, Profiles & NIL 4 questions

How do recruiters see my athlete?+

Three ways, all athlete-controlled: turn on discovery so verified recruiters can find you; share a code directly with a program; or publish your public profile link. You can see every view and revoke access anytime from the Recruiting tab.

What's on the public profile?+

It's off by default; one toggle on the Recruiting tab turns it on. The page carries your PlayEligible Score, star rating, badges, height and weight, core GPA, recent practice tests, school, bio and film link — with the source shown behind every number. Report cards, marking-period detail, district status and your contact details are never on it, and the personal fields — core GPA, test results, height and weight, school name, film, bio — each have their own on/off switch, so you can publish the page without publishing the GPA.

How does PlayEligible help with NIL?+

Deals die when athletes can't play. We keep the eligibility paper trail clean and verified, and your public profile gives sponsors a packet they can actually vet — Score, academics, character signals, film. We don't broker deals; we make athletes NIL-ready.

What's in the athletic resume?+

A designed one-pager: measurables, season-by-season stats, the coachability snapshot, academics, and your film link — AI-polished from your own words, ready to print or send to any coach.

Teams, Schools & Districts 4 questions

How do athletes join a coach's team?+

Coaches generate a team code (TEAM-XXXXXX) from their dashboard and share it. Athletes enter it on their Recruiting tab and they're on the roster instantly.

What does the District Package include?+

A live command center for the athletic department: local eligibility gates (MPSSAA quarters, DCSAA marking periods, Baltimore City waiver math) alongside NCAA readiness, early warnings weeks before report cards, bulk CSV roster import, and one-click compliance reports.

How is district pricing set?+

Per program, sized to your roster and funding — Title I/IV fundable and PO friendly. Email hello@playeligible.com with "District demo" and one conversation gets you a number.

Can parents and coaches assign work?+

Yes — tests, Sport IQ levels, and study blocks, on a real calendar with due dates and weekly repeats. Tests and Sport IQ verify themselves on completion; no honor system.

Live events 4 questions

What is the Recruiting & NIL Blueprint?+

A live 90-minute session on Zoom for student-athlete families — how eligibility is actually decided, what recruiters look at, and how NIL works before college. Every ticket includes the full recording, so you're covered if you can't make it live.

Can I get a refund on an event ticket?+

Yes — full refund up to 48 hours before the session starts. Inside 48 hours we can't refund, because the room is already sized and staffed, but you keep the recording either way. Email hello@playeligible.com.

What if I can't attend live?+

Every ticket includes the full recording, sent within 48 hours of the session. You do not need to do anything to receive it.

How do I get my Zoom link?+

It comes by email to the address you bought with — in your confirmation if the room is already set up, otherwise in a separate email before the session. If it hasn't arrived an hour before we start, reply to any PlayEligible email and we'll send it straight back.
