How to join

Parents create the account (players under 13 are set up by a parent; 13 and up get their own login). The academy price is applied automatically.
Add the academy code
Enter it on the player's Recruiting page — or on their card if you manage the account. That's what puts them on the academy roster.
Do the work, together
Tests, Sport IQ and the eligibility check save to the player. Parents and the academy see progress; the player owns the record.

About Play Ball Academy
Play Ball Academy is Doug Remer's development ladder for Montgomery County baseball: from Little League dirt to the college and pro trail, with the academic side tracked as hard as the mechanics. Talent is the ticket to the conversation. Eligibility and recruiting literacy decide who actually gets to play.
Doug has spent over twenty years watching gifted players fall through the cracks for lack of a roadmap: a Washington Nationals batting-practice pitcher since 2008 and a 2019 World Series ring recipient, a former Bowie Baysox assistant coach, a former head coach in the Cal Ripken Collegiate League, and a twenty-year special-education teacher and curriculum designer in Montgomery County Public Schools. RemerBall is what he built in response: a system that finds the red flags in a player's profile years before they become deal-breakers.

- You create and manage the account; there is no separate login for them. Hand them the phone from your dashboard for tests and Sport IQ. At 13 they get their own login, and you stay linked.
- What does Play Ball Academy see?
- Nothing, until you add the program code. Then the program director sees the roster: each athlete’s tests, GPA and eligibility status, and can assign work. Never contact details, never a password. Remove the code and the view ends.
- Is this the NCAA?
- No. PlayEligible tracks the current NCAA academic rules and tells you where an athlete stands; official certification comes only from the NCAA Eligibility Center.
- Who gets paid?
